Heh... that's pretty nifty there, Slime. I generally just use the Google toolbar to highlight search terms, but it's neat that you've got something that does that automatically. Nice job.

[Edit: The only thing I can think to mention is that some people might mistake the highlight color for a link color... not sure if that would really be a problem, or how you would fix that, though.]

Sorry slime, I'm not seeing anything. I assume it changes the background colour of the words used in the search from google or something but everything looks jast as it always did.

Maybe you need to force refresh? Have you visited my site recently? It depends on both javascript and CSS files being up to date.

Forced refersh and still nothing (IE6/XP)...

I might have to dump my cache before I see it but I'm on dialup and I kinda don't want to do that unless I have to. This happened with the april fools logo here once. I got stuck with that logo for a month or so and it didn't change back no matter what till I cleard out my browser cache.

I'll have a look at it from one of the macs at uni tommorow.

Doesn't seems to work in Safari.

Drac: it probably is a cache problem then. You might try going manually to the style sheets and script files located in the head of my document and refreshing them.

u-neek: safari is a mac browser, isn't it? Unfortunately, I can't test it in that, as I don't have it. This script uses some very recent javascript/DOM methods, along with regular expressions and other things that it's possible safari simply doesn't support.

I coded it so that if there's an error or anything, it just aborts silently.

I've tested that in any other mac browser (Mozilla, Camino, IE, Opera) as well and it does not seem to work.

Agree with Suho. You should change the color of the highlighted items, but except from that it's nice. Even works on both Mozilla and Opera7.1Beta on Linux
