Emps! You like Nick Cave? I just love his voice... His lyrics are a little on the macabre side for me to listen to all the time, but I really do enjoy the music... didn't know anyone else listened to that... And I just love those 2 Sisters of Mercy songs... This Corrosion is one of my favorites. Damn, this list just takes me back! And Siouxie - who can forget the Banshees?

Suho - I'm gonna have to check out more of Erasure's stuff sometime very soon. Then I can have an intelligent conversation with you about them. I really liked Chorus, I can't remember the name of the other album my roommate used to have though - it was good too, I just liked Chorus better. I went through a really strange music phase in the mid-90's... Got into all the funky New Wave and alternative 80's stuff about 10 years later than maybe I should have...

Speaking of alternative, anyone else remember My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult? A coworker showed me a flyer recently that had them listed as playing a club around here... I couldn't believe they were still kicking!

bodhi23: Yep he is great - I saw him live over a decade ago he was amazing. SoM? They are great and most of their songs are worth sneaking onto the list - I just missed seeing them live last month due to a complete lack of organisation amongst me and my friends

Emps - I hate it when that happens. I missed Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals this past weekend due to a serious lack of funds, and the fact that I only found out about it a week before the show! I'd love to see SoM though...

My little sister introduced me to Nick Cave several years back (between her and her hubby, they have something like 1,000 different CDs)... through the Murder Ballads CD... I thought it was just the one CD that was so black - but then I got a different one, and it's almost as dark! But sooo easy on the ears... the man has a such a smooth, mellow sound.

RN3: 'Go West'? They have so many great songs, and you pick 'Go West'? IMO, that's not even the best song on that album... what about 'Can you forgive her?' or 'Liberation'?
