      I have some question about where to download Solaris. I do not have a sparc or x86. I have compaq presario. Where can i download the Intel Platform for Solaris?? Can someone give me a link for that so i don't have to pay?? Please reply back. Thanks guys.  |

      Up until a few months ago Solaris had cd images you could download for free of the system 7 &  8 operating systems. How ever, now that system 9 for x86 is available those links have disappeared. BTW- the x86 is what you want if you have an Intel or AMD chip.  |

      I believe Sun stopped offering Solaris to download on the x86 quite a while ago.  I'm not really sure what you want with it though.  Use one of the various Linux distro's instead.  |
