I will be spending a few days with friends in Vancouver before leaving the state. Luckily, they have a DSL connection. But this will only delay the inevitable and dreaded Bandwidth Withdrawls. Any advice on how to deal with the withdrawl symptoms would be greatly appreciated. Is there a twelve step program I could join? "Hi, my name is Norm and I have been a broadband junkie for 2 years..."

I can only get 56k dialup and when I knew I was about to go offline for a while, I saved quite a few tutorials from here and the GN (the whole web page) and worked my way through them while offline. As I am being evicted from my apartment in a couple of months, with nowhere yet arranged for me to move to, it looks more and more that I will be offline again for a while. We will have to start a self help group methinks.

I can only get 56k dialup and when I knew I was about to go offline for a while, I saved quite a few tutorials from here and the GN (the whole web page) and worked my way through them while offline.
As I am being evicted from my apartment in a couple of months, with nowhere yet arranged for me to move to, it looks more and more that I will be offline again for a while. We will have to start a self help group methinks.
