Anyone know of software which allows you to take screenshots or even watch another computer on a local network, I know netbus can do this, but I dont want anything that'll show up in virus scans.

Now this all sounds really dodgy, but its all legit, I works in a net cafe, and it would be dead handy to be able to see what people are up to when needed, porn isnt allowed here but thats not the reason, theres nothing wrong with a bit of porn unless theres minors here(rare enough) but we've found some not so nice things including young porn if ya know what I mean (blegh, doiiirteee) and suspected sabotage of some sort.

So um yea anyone know of similar software ? another thing is that it would be inactive most of the time, and something like winVNC would be useless as it very processory.

.. on that note, software to count how many pages each pc has printed is badly needed here too.

pcanywhere is what we use here on our network. On older machines (P2's and the like), system resources were an issue, but on newer boxes you shouldn't even notice the processor hit.

I use it extensively to administer my company's WAN and to save no gas.

Umm the only things that I know that will do this unobtrusively are things like netbus and Back Orifice however they will all show up on a virus scan (as they should). Im far from an expert but you may be able to configure your virus software and or BO so that it doesn't get picked up in the virus protection.

Your other option is if you are mostly worried about downloaded material is installing some sort of network traffic filter like ethereal.

You say it's a network, so shouldn't everything be running though a central hub? If so you could easily just logs system requests to the printer and record the user id. Pretty simple way to track pages printed

As far as Filtering goes, you could always install WebSense, very good i'm told http://www.websense.com/web_filtering.cfm
