Since it seems there are some video hobbyist here (or even more serious persons), I want an advice, if possible with detailed explanations on why your decision would be this or that (relating to brand and model of a camcorder): |

I'm happy with my JVC GR-DV3000U... Complaints are that it's a little bulky compared to what most are used to, and the auto-focus is a little slow for my taste.. Perks: Everything else. I don't have any links though.. cause the place I bought mine from was pretty bad actually. They tried to con me into a whole lotta other shit. I recommend knowing exactly what you need to buy and what you don't, because you never know when they'll try to pull an extra few hundred dollars out of your pocket. |

I am not sure yet if I want to spend around one thousand or two, to buy a new camcorder. My main use is personal, to record my trips, my family, my daughters, images from the USA, because in one year, I'll have to go back to Brazil and I want to take the recordings with me. |
