Hello! I know I've been quite lost lately, so: HELLO GAYS! (or it's guys?) =P

I'm needing a little help, see: I have this 4 computers network, sharing internet conection and all that, prety cool actually, but I dunno how to 'manage' the network; I have win XP and I dont want 3 of the PC to be allow to modify some things into the PC itself and I don't want to waste your time trying to explain something that is not maybe what I'm looking for due to the fact that I'm slow explaining things, but it would be very helpful to see some links and try to do it by myself here. I've already look for some things, but I can get a clear explanation of all this.

Thanks a lot in advance guys! (and not gays)

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

Just 4 PC under a router, I guess it's better to get a domain controller to do it better, isn't it?

once I'm back at school and have cable internet again I've got machine with redhat9 on it that I was going to set up as a firewall... but i think I may just put winxp on it and run dhcp / nat too.. a lot handier for me once i've got it set up since my laptop goes to and from school with me... but i might not even need to take it now.. got an 80gb firewire drive

You don't need a domain controller.

You can create accounts on each of the machines that are not administrators (or even power users), limiting their access to things.

I'd make sure that each of the hard drives is formatted with NTFS and not FAT. NTFS provides for security (as well as compression on-the-fly and encryption on-the-fly).
