Used to use Roger Wilco. I'm here in the US, and I could chat to a guy in the UK with a 56k modem no prob. Lot's of gaming clans use RW during matches with out much problem. |

Alternatively, I like Haxial's NetFone, which also supports Mac<-->Windows if need be. AIM is good too, though it's sorely lacking in options to fiddle with. Netfone gives a bit more control from what I've seen, at least. (haven't used the other programs named above, sorry.) |

I always found Roger Wilco to sound like an old World War II radio.. all interferance and crackles and incomming and outgoing messages getting clipped all the time MS Messenger has voice chat capability that works ok.. but by far the best for me was Microsoft Net Meeting, reception was crystal clear with no background noise at all. Almost hi-fidelity. |

We use teamspeak for our guild and clan chats. You can get a teamspeak server for linux & windows. |
