Not sure if this has come up here before but I was adding it to the FAQ so I thought I'd throw it in here:
http://bcheck.scanit.be/bcheck/

If nothing else a reminder to get the latest IE patches

I'd be interested in seeing a table that relates browser to level of risk found. It'd be a bit more informative to those who want to select their browser based on it's security features.

Yes, Windows Update is the first step to a secure machine.

The next step would be to stop using iE

No..I've tried windows update...but Microsoft's server refuses to validate my windows key...despite the fact that they're the ones that gave it to me.

Go figure.

And I did stop using IE for a while, but I found other browsers frustrating in a way I couldn't describe...so I just used IE when I installed XP...

That's funny. If your key is legal, then you should contact MS and ask for instructions. Otherwise, use Google or some other "tool" to find out how to bypass the problem.

I think I had 15 or something like that in IE 6. Tests, not problems. I think it varies depending on settings and the results of prior tests.

0 0 0 in Mozilla here as well.

IE is evil. What does it give you that Mozilla doesn't? Tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, not a single unwanted popup window in months and at the same time much more security - Mozilla is just perfect for me.
