I've noticed for precision work a mouse is a bit easier, though. unless you have a really big tablet. Also, tried double-clicking yet? (yes, I know there are buttons on the pen for that. but still.)

there's a one click button on the pen that works as a double click. odd but I suppose it saves a click. the other button is for right click simulation and touching the pressure sensitive point to the pad simulates one click. I've yet to actually create anything useful in photoshop so until I do I suppose I won't know if I prefer it to the mouse. The only thing I miss so far is the wheel on the mouse for web browsing.

I considered a wacom but in the end bought a Trust version. It only cost £23 so I thought it wouldn't be a big loss if I couldn't get to grips with it

For the last two months or so, I've been using a Graphire2 Wacom tablet (the smallest one). But I don't use it for drawing or Photoshop work - because I am not a Photoshop guru - I use it as a replacement for the mouse, due to RSI problems. For this purpose, I may say that it is a great tool. I don't know what a mouse is since the first day I started using the tablet. It is located in my left side, because I am left handed, and in the right side, I have a Logitech trackball. When I want to double click or right click, usually I use the tablet to position the cursor and the trackball to make the click, although I am getting used to double-click in the tablet itself. And sometimes, to give a break to the left hand, I use the trackball for a while. It has been a perfect combination.
