Recently, a professor asked how many in the class reads a newspaper daily. I was shocked to see only a handful of college students actually read one. I'm curious how many read a major newspaper daily and what they read. |

I read the Herald Sun, same as Skaarjj. Here in Melbourne Australia (where the kangaroos live) we only have three major newspapers. One is mind numbingly boring. The other is mind numbingly large and complicated, and requires you to have absolutely fantastic dexterity just to read the headline on the front page. |

I only read the online versions too. I have always *hated* reading paper newspapers. I know my high school government teacher would kill me for this but I also listen to lots of radio news and television news. I ping pong around several different web sites for information as well as needed. |

On the train to university I read whatever newspaper I find, but I only read online newspapers daily. |

Yes, being another Aussie I might sometimes read the Herald Sun. The local town paper I read too, always someone I know rearing their ugly head in it. The main one I read is MX which is this rather trashy, infotainment - althought interesting and a great time filler - newspaper I read on the train home from Uni. They give them out for free to nearly every single commuter. That's the only thing everyone does on the trian from Melbourne to wherever these afternoons\nights after work\school\whatever is read MX and then litter the damn train with them. |

The Greensboro News & Record sucks pretty bad. Supposedly, newspapers are written for an 8th grade reading level, but I'm pretty sure some of these writers aren't hitting much higher than 6th... I only scan it on Sundays, when we get it for the classifieds. |
