I'm checking out InvisionBoard right now. Does anybody have any experience with this? BTW, I have php, cgi/perl, and SQL support but I'd rather go php or perl/cgi since SQL queries cost me.

Style elements all have pseudonyms, and I'll be stuffed if I can figure out what half of them are. Strangely you edit the style sheets and apply them globally on the board...and nothing happens. Not a single change is made. Then you go to delete the old ones, and it tells you it can't becuase they're in use, despite the fact that there's only 1 user account, your one, and you're not using it.

The term "Unlimited Free Trial" doesn't sound too appealing to me and not to mention that you don't have the same treatment as registered users...

I'm taking a hit with the SQL queries but I get about 5mil with my hosting plan so we'll see. If the numbers start climbing, I might have to switch to a php/perl only solution. Also, since the site is for a College Organization I'm pretty sure I can swing something with the licensing, but I have no problems with leaving the Invision copyright notices and whatnot on the pages. But, we'll see.
