Beware, it's a web developer/designer mind bomb.

Joe Maddalone released an article explaining how to have Multiple IE's in Windows.
Ryan Parman in turns, packaged 3 zip files to run IE5.01 , IE5.5 and IE6.0. The files are ~3mb each! All you have to do, is to download the zip files, unzip them wherever you want and ... that's all!

I wouldn't tell you to have fun, 'coz you won't with those browsers but you should gain a lot of time.

It does indeed work, although the about box can confuse you. Thanks for the link.

The browsers suck, but it's nice to be able to test with them. My site for instance, which I spent hours doing the layout and finally got to work, now has more bugs to get rid of. MS can kiss my ass, bastards. What were they thinking?
[EDIT: <vent>My site falls apart in 5.5, but you know what, I for one am tired of messing with code that is structurally sound just to accomadate browser manufacturers that can't get their freakin' act together. Pisses me off.</vent>]

Yes!

Does this mean we can finally toss all those old, obsolete testing PCs?

ozphactor: Yes! But you could also turn your obsolete testing PCs in emulation boxes.
Pugzly: You got the version of IE4.01 on Ryan Parman's site among the other packaged versions, no ? Isn't it a pain in the a## to not use the adress bar ? Well I wonder what is the most annoying : the browser itself or the lack of adress bar

Optool came out of nowhere, so I was a little reluctant to use it, but since the number of browsers on my computer is growing it's becoming a must have.

Yeah, I only wish that the options from Optool were available in a standard context menu when you right click on things.

other than that, it seems to work well.
