Topic awaiting preservation: "Good" WYSIWYG editor?

I know that sounds like an oxymoron to most of you but here's my problem.

I've created a document library in HTML for the manufacturing department of my company. It's a very simple page that links a ton of .pdf files together for easy access on our network. The manufacturing documents coordinator would like to be able to update the links on this herself but she knows zero HTML.

All she really needs to be able to do is add links to the documents and maybe an image now and then. I really don't feel like teaching this person (who is about 45 years old and is not net savvy at all) how to view HTML. I can already see her getting into my code and royally screwing it up.

So do any of you know of any very simple WYSIWYG editors that I could set her up with to help her out? I really doubt my company will want to pay for something like Dreamweaver or GoLive for such a simple task. I also have no access to php, asp, or anything similar to use includes.

Any ideas?

I'd simply recommend maX's HTML Beauty. With proper drive mapping the web's tree would be available in the resource panel, where she could drag and drop PDF files into the markup with cursor placed perfectly for typing in the link text (or samesuch for images). Add to that the syntax highlighting/color coding, you could put some nice comments here and there with solid yellow bg and black text color coding to show her where stuff goes.

If she can't master those simple steps she has no business doing that bit anyhoo right? It ain't rocket science, she can do it!

I think the right tool for this job is a content management sytem. You supply the design, they supply the content, and the CMS will keep them from screwing up your work.

Macromedia Contribute may do the trick.

If money is not available for Dreamweaver or Contribute, then take a look at the Composer included in Mozilla. It will allow her to do basic editing point & click style.

This is assuming that at the advanced age of 45 years she can actually still see the screen and that her fingers will still bend enough to use the keyboard. Now if you will excuse me, I must go take my Senior vitamins......
