Topic awaiting preservation: Freehand-Transparent

I am new at freehand and am struggling with something that I would like to execute. I would like to take an object with a specific colour and lay another object of a different colour over top and have the colours mix to show a new colour.
ex: have a yellow graphic overlap with a blue graphic and have the colour appear green.

Is this done using transparencies? I cannot figure it out.

this should really go in the print graphics forum but since its here I'll see if I can help you.

1) you can overlap the two objects, open Window>Toolbars>Xtra Opererations and with both objects selected click Divide. now the overlapped portion can be selected and coloured seperately.
or
2) select each object seperately, go to the fill pallet and on the drop down menu go to lens. when you've done this for both objects you can overlap them and the colour will change as they are now both transparencies

Another way...
Make 2 objects. Colour 1 yellow.... the other blue.
Then move one over the other to give you the area you want to be green.
Now here's where you may be getting lost.

'Both' objects must be selected. So... click on 1 of the objects and when the 4 handles appear hold down shift and click the other object. When both objects have handles go to the menu Modify/Combine/Transparency
a Slider type dialogue box appears and you select the degree of transparency.
