Topic awaiting preservation: Network Help

Now normally I have no problem with this kind of thing but this is driving me nuts. I just got a Linksys Wireless G/B Router at home (WRT54G). I've got it all up and running with 2 computers a laptop (win 98) running wirelessly and a desktop (XP pro) cabled to the router. The only problem I have is that I can't share files in between the two. Nothing I do will make the two see each other.

Here's the details:

Both have the same workgroup
The computers can ping each other using the internal IP addresses assigned by the router.
I tried the XP network setup wizard disk with no luck
WEP encryption is enabled on the router.

Has anyone run into this and have any suggestions?

I think you might have to set up some sort of server deamon for file shares. XP pro should have something for that I would assume. Have you tried setting up an FTP server and working it that way?

Since you can ping each computer your physical connection is fine, meaning it is a software issue. I really can not think of anything other than not having the correct file sharing setup.

If you have set that up and it is still not working publish some further information. I might not be all that helpful as I have only run 2000 as a server, but I am pretty sure XP is built on similar technology.

have you shared the drives? I know it may seem a stupid question, but I've run up against that problem before while troubleshooting someone else's network issues...everything was set up correctly except that none of the drives had been shared so neight computer actually had any content available for the other one to see.
