6 is my favorite. Interesting study. I give credit where credit is due and art without drugs seems boring. Where would the music world be without drugs? *ponders* |

Interesting links, both of them. I've seen some of Alex Grey's stuff before, but the lot of it in context there was pretty cool. Liked the Sacred Mirrors bit - that was nifty... |

bodhi: I believe most the the testing for LSD in the United States ended in the 60's. It was made illegal in 1969. Timothy Leary was one of the prime researchers at Harvard's Psychiatric Department at the time. After his "turn on, tune in, drop out" campaigne, the government became a little worried. |

Not sure about LSD and Goverment programs but Hallucinogenics are still being researched. Paul Stamets grows mushrooms containing Psilocibin under permit from the DEA. There is also some research going on at ASU regarding cluster headaches and hallucinogens. |

Actually that was what Tim Leary's main diagnosis was based upon, psylocibin. He went to Mexico and one of the native Shaman gave him some mushrooms for a religious experience. When he came back to the states he convinced the Dean at Harvard to let them study Pshycosis cures with Psylocibin. |

The mushrooms he was given in mexico were Psilocibe Mexicana, spore prints of which are still being circulated for microscopy research and identification. p.Mexicana also produces a kind of 'tuber' called sclerotia, aka philosophers stones. I hear that if you happen to find yourself in amsterdam you can order them in the coffee shops, (they also might be p.Tampenisis but that is also psychoactive) |

That reminds me of a rumor I heard that on LSD a vessel bursts in your spinal cord and blood drips down. Could this be a side effect of the overdose of rat poison? Or any dose of rat poison for that matter. |

Hallucinogenics grow wild throughout the Pacific Northwest and in some areas of the south. Rather than move you just need an identification guide and the stones to believe in your identification skills. It takes a brave man to eat fungi that could cause you a horrible, painfull death. If you still feel the need to move you can always head up to British Colombia, there are coffee shops and the province supposedly produces 10billion a year worth of Marijuana and there is a 3D school up there...Vancouver Film School. Or you could head to the other side of Canada and go to Sheridan. |
