I'm looking for a program which you can download a whole homepage with.
I googled but I really don't know what these kind of programs are called.
Thanks!

Nope... That doesn't work for me. I need a progam that will download
everything. I'm trying to download this page http://home.swipnet.se/erik_olsson/
It is on my old server and I forgot my password. I don't want to click on every file
and 'save target'.

You want a "website downloader". I use winHTTrack some times to get an complete website to study it or to rebuild it from scratch.
But when your website is big, it could take a couple off hours before it's on you harddisk.

I use to use that program a lot for downloading tutorial sites for offline viewing. Worked like a charm.

Of some reason some files were not downloaded. I'd guess I have to download them manually.
But it's not so many so it will not be a hassle.

edit: I noticed that almost every picture has only been partly downloaded.
This is a big bummer... I'll trying again and lowering the simultanous connections
to 2.

I have used a program called Offline Explorer for many years and I like it a lot. It seems to miss files occasionally. But its later versions seem to be almost 100%. I also have a perl program I wrote that I run against the downloaded site. It gives me a list of any missing files. The last couple of years it usually only lists a hand full of files for very large sites when I have used Offline Explorer.

If you are in a *nix environment wget will do this for you. It is the best program I've seen for doing that kind of thing.

I believe there is a plugin for Firefox that'll do this too. Is it Spiderzilla?

Just for reference, etc.. If you need a Mac solution, look for "SiteSucker". Freeware, I do believe.

[going of topic]
I remeber when I used Linux I never tried wGet.
Intstead I used httrack. Which worked fine In linux
but not so good in Windows. Maybe that proves that
programs for Linux never should be ported to windows?
One of the issues are stabiltiy. Linux programs ported
to windows like gimp is not as stable as it is on linux.

Teleport Pro for Windoze users. I used to use it all the time. You can download a site using the proper site structure if you set the parameters correctly.

You know...IE has an option under it's favourites list 'make available for offline viewing'. When you add a favourite.
