Curious to hear from those inmates who work for TechTV....

heh that would be me.

We're not too happy about it Here's another gloomy article. Basically all the G4 folk are saying that we're kind of screwed and that they're going to keep this more of a gaming channel and just use us to boost distribution.

They'll probably keep some of us but we'd have to relocate from San Francisco to L.A. Which most of us aren't happy about. This move actually makes business sense. However most of us are not convinced that chaning from TechTV to G4 is the right way to go. We think (and we may be biased) that we've got better programming.

Dunno though we'll see. But my resume has gotten dusted off.

Yikes, that's some shaky stuff there Mike. I wish you luck in the whole deal and at the same time say you don't need it I guess it never hurts tho.

Seems the days of working for a company and retiring with honor and a gold watch after 50 years is simply a thing of the past. I hope the history books record it so it might sound like a good idea to future a generation and cycle back around one day =)

This sucks. About the only thing I can stomache on G4 is Portal. The rest of the programming is mind-numbingly boring.

Don't know what it will do. There are some shows on techtv I like, and some I don't.

I have to admin that I prefer the old TechTV format, when it was ZDTV. It was a lot more tech related and a lot less game related.......

I hope they keep the good shows like The ScreenSavers, Call 4 Help and Anime Unleashed. Those are my favorites.

Well shit... I personally come home to watch Call for help, X-play, Screensavers among others. I find it odd to think of how exactly this G$ Techtv merge will work out. I would hope that the style of replaying the same god damn programs over and over wouldnt plague TechTv when it becomes part of it.
