Please help i can't seem to get the alpha filter working so i tried looking it up on the web and the examples didn't work either i thought it might have something to do with my internet settings could this be true? if so what settings do i have to change?
I have been adding this to the style of a div tag to try get it to work for all of you who like working with examples "filter: alpha(opacity=50);"

Thanks in advance

Aroma (gee i must make time to design a sig)

The syntax is correct, so there can only be two problems:

1. Something else is wrong with your page - post URL, so that we can analyze it.
2. Your video card drivers don't support alpha blending (on older graphic cards, most IE filters won't work at all).

I remebered the style thingie but what worries me is that it worked fine a month ago i remember seeing it but in the meantime i've had a virus and since then it hasn't worked.
I don't know if that will help at all?

Could you upload the page and give us a link? It's very hard to find problems without viewing source.

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

That page works fine for me ("bg" layer has lighter background, not black as it is specified, so therefore filter works). The problem is probably related to your graphic card drivers as I've said above...
