im wondering how i could do something like http://www.gamersforce.net/ with the fading images. and im wondering can that be done with text?

Source code looks like it just sets a loop that changes the opacity. Mr. Max does opacity changing on his site in the wallpaper section (mouseovers).

Dunno about the text.

I wouldn't use the code they used on gamersforce.net if I were you because that Javascript is very poor. It will not work with Netscape and could even crash the browser since it doesn't check the browser. I would find one that works in both browsers.
