Okay, you know in image ready you can have when you click on a img-button you can have another sliced image change to something else... could you do that when the sliced part you want changed in on a different frame...

I think I know what you're asking. Let's say you have a menu in PhotoShop with extras that light on mouseover. With the extras off go to image ready, use the create slices from guides. With the slice select tool setup and name your slices. Then right click on the layer for the first mouseover. Select new layer based image map area. Lets say it's a layer called homebutton, in the rollover menu select create new rollover state and in the new state make the extra layer you want visible. Let's say it's an arrow in the next slice pointing at the homebutton. By clicking between the normal and over views the main image should show/hide the arrow. When you save as HTML and Images it will write the code and save 2 images for the arrow slice.
There's a lot on tricks and traps to this but you'll get the idea when you see the result.
