Topic awaiting preservation: Layer in a Table (hide text links) (Page 1 of 1)

Hi guys,
I have a question.

On my page I would like to put a table, then put a number of links and text in it, then put a layer over those links, so a visitor cannot click or see them, while the Search Engine Spiders can.

Is it possible?
to put a layer in a table?

I know it's possible to put a layer on the page by x,y coordinates. However it doesn't work well for me, because the table moves around and the layer ends up not covering the 'hidden texts and link', however, if I could put the layer in the table, that'd do it,....i think

Instead of doing that I would suggest you to simply hide that table, like this:

<DIV STYLE="display:none;"><TABLE>...</TABLE></DIV>
