Ok yesterday at school our econimics teacher had a problem with her computer grade system. Yes several students (including me) recieved low grades (i.e. 75) when our real grades for the final were (i.e. 94). So I was wondering if there was a way someone could create an applet on a webpage where someone can just type in the grades in slots and then they average them up. I haven't had much time to give it a go but maybe some of you can help me with it . My teacher would be really appriciative.

why wouldn't you just use something like excel? an applet is definently the way to go.

Why would you need an applet for this?

It should be very simple calculations, and javascript should be able to do it.

Just make forms for the grade on each part, and what percentage that part counts to in the total grade. Do the calculations in the script, and return the value.

I am not all that familiar with the US grading system though, so maybe it is more complicated than I think it is?
