Topic awaiting preservation: Directory listing

Anyone know of a program that will create a collapsable tree view of a directory (like the windows explorer type)..??

I really need this for a family tree and don't want to have to write one from scratch.

you can check out www.treemenu.com for the basic Javascript but if you want to actually open and read directories you'll need something on the server side.

You could combine this with say PHP for the effect you are looking for.

i've done similar stuff with just php... shouldn't be that difficult to do... but since you said you don't really want to write one yourself, try hotscripts.com... there might be something useful there.
