I have to say that has always been one thing done nicer in Netscape. IE can be a complicated mess of detecing mime types and ActiveX controls usually with VBscript. Here's a pretty good script (done by apple no less) for detecting the main 5 plugins .:[ Never resist a perfect moment ]:.
