I've been designing sites for a living for a little over four years now. I specialize in Flash. Needless to say I was *completely floored* when I visited ozones.com for the first time and realized NONE of it was in Flash.

Basically my main question would be: Where do I start if I want to learn how to do something similar to the Lost v2.0 interface located at http://www.ozones.com/ ?

I realize this question is VERY broad and may not have a direct answer... if I need to be more specific, let me know.

I welcome your input. =)

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.

okay... so, essentially javascript is being used to control the properties (clipping, etc.) of <div> tags to create the scrolling animation, correct?

...is that also what's being done with the animated content section (as in when a nav option is clicked a large content section expands)

...there is also some sort of custom scroll bar in this animated content area that works with my wheel mouse... any idea on how that works? (same thing - javascript and layers?)

could you possibly recommend a good tutorial for using javascript to control <div> properties?

i sincerely appreciate your help!

WOW =)

You've given me ALOT to think about, and a great starting place overall. Thank you so much!!

Is it OK if I contact you in the future with more questions? If so, what's the best way to contact you?

Seriously -- thanks again!
