I am looking for tips, tutorials, holy discharge on how to make a realistic rope in photoshop 7. the noose part is just what i intend to make if i find a good anything on how to go about starting or actually making rope. |

Your approaching this the wrong way. Too many people try and create the object, this is why you don't know where to start. Instead, break the object down to it's simplest forms, then all you have to do is create the basic forms and beofre you know it, you have an image of rope. |

I was watching some dvGarage video tutorials of my friends, and have realized the importance of having the object in front of you. So, get a rope. Look at the rope, study it, look at the way the threads are woven together, the texture, the makeup of the threads. Everything. |
