Topic awaiting preservation: color picker setting

Hey,

I did something to my workversion of ps and am unable to get the color picker back to the way it was previously (which I greatly prefered). my picker now has all colors instead of one color from with all the black/white shades of it.

here are a couple screen shots. . I would want the top view back.

I am sure it is basic, but I do not see it in my manuals. maybe I am looking for the wrong thing.

any help is greatly appreciated.

See all of the boxes on the right with the numbers? Each one has a checkbox next to it. If you look close enough, you notice the difference with regards to the checkboxes.

Wrong, wj. Those are radio buttons, not checkboxes

see I knew it was something simple. thought those had another function.
