I downloadedthis font I really love to use and when I type it will go for a few letters then put a huge space and continue with the letters. Is there any way to stop it from doing this? I'm somewhat new @ Photoshop 7. I just got it two weeks ago. I was using PS 6 before that. I have never really lkearned how to work with it. I have been doing online tutorials where I could find them. I was also wondering if someone would be so kind as to help me with my message board and website (graphically!). I know some HTML butthats about it. I use dreamweaver sometimes. I'm starting my associates in webdesign in the next three weeks so I'm hopeing to learn alot from that. I'm thinking about getting either a bachelors or a masters degree in webdesign or graphic design I'm not sure which one yet. Please any and all help is greatly appreciated. |

The font I'm trying to use is called Dragonwick, its a true type font and it types fine in word. all the characters are there its just it puts a huge space in between some of them sometimes. I was also wondering if you guys could show how to make a brushed aluminum bar that looks similar to a pipe with rounded edges and such. thanks again. |

Well I tried the font it seam to work ok for the most part, I think it is simply a matter it's not a fully fleshed out font perhaps it's missing some of it's metrics, hinting and Kerning. You need adjust the kerning and tracking by hand which is normally proceedure for headline and Large copy. Many fonts are designed with body copy spacing in mind or a specific size intent. Which explains why many fonts are so expensive as a lot of work has gone into the design setting up kerning table and hints. |

im still having problems making a metal bar that looks like the way i want it. i would even settle with a whethered metal looking bar with rounded edges. i tried the tutorial on the guru site for the whethered metal and it looked like nothing like the finished product he made. i followed the steps word for word and still i cannot do it. anybody willing to make the bars for me? i have been trying this stuff all day and im not getting anywhere. ill keep trying but i dont know how much longer i can do this. thanks for the help. |
