Well that depends on what you want do. I assume you are looking to group layers together so they don't move relative to each other ? If so, You'll want to use "Layer Linking". Each layer has to boxes next to it, an eye or Disply Layer, and the active layer/link box, Simply click on the layers next to each other you want to link, a small chain link icon will appear. The layers should now move together as one. You might find it a bit tricky at first, so I would check out the manual under linking or layer linking. |

I don't want to sound too RTFM, but open Photoshop then press Help > Photoshop Help > Using Layers > Creating clipping groups or Help > Photoshop Help > Using Layers > Working with layered images. |

i'm no artist, and i'm not making an accusation of any kind, but i think i should point out that certain... er... illegitimate or slightly illegitimate versions of ps may not come with a manual. why would you spend all day reading the manual if the only thing you want to find out about is grouping layers? |

sorry, that may have come across the wrong way. i wasn't referring to myself wanting to find out how to group layers, i was talking about our good friend who started the thread in the first place. of course, you could also be made to think that i have illegal software installed. i was referring to tor, who may or may not. it doesnt matter, tor, you should certainly look around before asking a simple question on a forum. there are literally thousands of tutorials on ps around, and the adobe website could be a good start. |

HERE HERE!! I agree with DL, for once. Illegal software blows anyhow. Most of the time I hear that the programs become unstable. Help files are great. How I got started on Flash... Tuts, and Help files. NOW GO READ.... |

it took close to three seconts to tell the guy how to link layers, but you filled a whole forume [timewaste] telling him how stupid he was for asking the question. . . . .then have the nerve to accuse him of wasting your precious time. . . hmmm. . . |
