or maybe what matters is how little of colors you use...hmmm |

How you set up the canvas would depend on what you`re making. If it`s a 16X16 piece, you`d need a 16X16 canvas. |

from messing with it i notice that the paint tool doesnt seams to do one pixel but the pencle one does, so do i just do a drawing by adding pixel by pixel and using as min colors as posable right? no matter what colors? or is there a set defined amount of colors to use and if so anyway of just getting them to show up in the color palette on eather photoshop or paint shop pro, who knows maybe im just making all this sound harder than i am thinking :P |

My suggestions - Change the shape of the figure instead of just moving the layers up and down by a few pixels. For example -- sneaker/arms movement maybe? |

I've never really understood that term "pixel art", and I suppose I've never been that concerned with the definition. I think somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind I thought it meant tiny pictures. Imagine my surprise when I followed your link AnimEdge, to the animation you have done. I like it btw, I thought it would be more this size; |

once again i was lazy :P this was just to see if i could do it...anyhow when i resized my image i made it bigger and traced it, it wasnt tell after word that it mightbe to big, but by the resizing it (with just the outline done) it made it look no so pixely, but seeing it resied with all the colors makes it look better i think :P the only thing that matters with size is that you have to be more detailed in it to make it look better ya know? so if i did make it that size it would have saved me time over all cus it wouldnt have been so detailed, ya know? but overall i think it looks good eather way |
