This may be a silly, baby question, but...

Does anyone have a foolproof way of getting rid of the default page-margins in Netscape 4.* using CSS rather than the standard marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" in the body (using which means my page doesn't HTML validate).

I've tried to use the @include method but can't seem to get it to work...

Thanks for any help...

Welcome

As far as I know NN4 doesn't support the CSS you'd use in newer browsers (margin & padding set to 0).

We have a FAQ on this topic somewhere here, hold on...

Yep: http://faq.ozoneasylum.com/451/

Seems like you can't perfect layout and validation at the same when coding for NN4. Though I'd say that it's quite OK to use marginwidth and -height to get the effect if Netscape support is really important for the site.

Thanks kuckus, for the welcome and the reply, which kind of confirma what I was resigned to - the Netscape compliance is more important than the validation in this case so...
