krets Paranoid (IV) Mad Scientist From: KC, KS Insane since: Nov 2002	posted 08-24-2003 22:44 I haven't done much design lately and as a result, I haven't kept caught up. Some of the newer sites I've seen use 3 characters for their color attributes instead of 6. What's the dealio? :::11oh1:::
Slime Lunatic (VI) Mad Scientist From: Massachusetts, USA Insane since: Mar 2000	posted 08-24-2003 23:08 It's only allowed in CSS, but using 3 hex numbers is a shortcut for 6, like this: #369 -> #336699 #17A -> #1177AA It's just shorthand.
