As for wage...hmmm...guess that depends on how much you think you are worth vs how much they are willing to pay... I would go high, then bargain lower...but don't sell yourself cheap...you are worth much more than you think... I think the Doc suggested doing such things on an hourly rate...but as I can't speak for him, I guess it's up to you...I always went on an hourly rate...but that was web-design stuff...maybe looking up what graphicers get as a going rate...and building from there?
