But Jestah, while the discussion is open, I'll try to make my point a little more clear: I am not for "hiding my sources at all costs" or I wouldn't be here, but I am all for not doing part of an assignment without any contract. Proposals as "templates" and ways to show ideas are ok, but giving away part of what the customer wants before any agreement is against all my beliefs. Jestah, if I am correct, you're active in the field of consulting right? So, sorry to ask you for a free job, but do you really think investing myself in proposing a working programmatic element on a mission I have not been contracted for is that good? As for my own resume, I just got the maximum (6 out of 6) mark for a plugin project I managed and delivered a few days ago, and am finally stuffing my portofolio with stuff that is not toyish, and not copyrighted or on the intranet. Just one more clarification: my own "job" is not webdesign atm, but development, which is a little more sensitive: I can hardly provide "empty templates", thank God I can easilly provide secured binaries. Also, I have used the project I mentionned above: I am suggesting it to my current employer, as it is a plugin for Outlook clients, and is quite nifty and could prove very useful for our customers. So, do you recommend showing them a working, final draft? Do you recommend asking for more money than my usual income for this since I am not contracted as a developer for them? Thanks for any input on this. [small](Edited by [internallink=947]InI[/internallink] on 06-29-2004 19:28)[/small]
