I kind of figured that you were talking about a real bonfire (especially since I vaguely remember hearing something about that, but I can't remember exactly what), but it kind of dug into my side like a rusty razor blade while I was reading. And if you've ever had anyone sawing away at your side with a rusty razor blade, you know how distracting that can be. ;) Anyway, I was just curious why the "the" was left out.
