skyetyger: All the browsers render the basic HTML elements differently (with different padding and margins) and one of the important things about Opera is that if you have two elements stacked one on top of the other Opera will not add any extra space between them (I assume it is the same for horizontal space but it is the vertical which is most obvious) even if you throw in an empty set of <P>. The use of margin is critical to overriding the browser's interpretations in this case and will give you a more 'standard' layout. I agree with Allewyn that you should try and make the names more descriptive but sometimes if you are using vast numbers of DIVs (as in you latest design over at the GN) that just may not be practical. And your page does break rather nastily in NS4.x (mobrul's doesn't/didn't so you may want to have a look through the code). Phil/Scansped: Nice to see you back and bearing such interesting gifts!! Allewyn: There are numerous ways to do CSS-only layouts and one of them is using absolute and relative positioning. It depends on what you are trying to do. I tend to feel that float is the way forward esp. in fluid designs so that is the direction I tend to recommend.
