Hey, check out this site for me... I've put a bunch of design work in on it in the past few days, and I'd like some reviews...Suggestions would be real good too, on the overall layout of the pages....

thanks,
grats

hey, haven't got too much to say about this site - it seems to acheive its purpose.
one thing that i have to complain about though is the text in the images - it's fairly blurred and small.
the text in the products section looks heaps better - even if the transparency is off.

a quick question - was this made from a template in dreamweaver?

the support page is a little overwhelming for me - and if those pictures are only there to link to text concerning that topic, and no product specs, then i fail to see why i need a bigger picture of it. All it seems to do for me is take away any possible balance at the top of the page.

another point of contention i have with your site is the colour scheme - there seems to be several.

on the left margin we have some really great racing colours, the text has another set of colours on a light grey bg, the menu and image on the top has yet another colour scheme, the links on the bottom another, and the parts pictures, another.

now, it's not like each colour scheme makes the next look even more horrid, or anything like that, but i feel that you could come out with a 'smoother' site if a bunch of colours were chosen, and stuck to.
and the colours chosen for a reason - not just because that's whatever happened to come out of my WYSIWYGWTF editor gave me.

hmmm... i realise what i've had to say isn't very positive, but that's because i'm a cynical bastard. (ie, i stick to picking faults, not pandering egos by telling you about the bits you already know are good)

all in all, it's pretty good - the information seems well structured, even if the product purchasing area seems like an afterthought.

one final piece of advice: instead of just an "email us" link, i suggest you display on the page your email address as well - some people don't have a mail client set up for that mailto: link to work.

The text on the front page images, right? I sized those down...I want to re-do them, but haven't gotten around to it...

I do think the pictures in the products section are unnecessary. I'll change that.

The color scheme with the navbar and the sidebar/background are very similar, although i'll try to make them moreso...although I know that the text needs to be re-vamped once again. I've been doing graphics and ignoring text for the past day or two...

Also, what would you sugest for the basic text of the site? Should I offest text with a different background and text color? I havne't left everything as the editor left it, honestly, but I haven't found a good bg color and text color yet,....any suggestions for that would be good.

I understand the criticism. That's what I'm looking for. I know that the site looks ages better than what it used to....heh....the products isn't really an afterthought, but I'm a newbie to all this. The more I learn, the more the entire site changes....Certain parts lag behind the rest...

I've thought of the email client issue...I need to ask the person who owns the email address if they want me to use it outright...I know, its right there on the status bar, but....
