oh my god.

Well I was at home last night on my 56K and after waiting for about 10 minutes for it to load I gave up. I didn't even get past the splash screen. Then I came to work on a DSL and it still took FOREVER to load. Why in the hell does it take so long? And why are your pages on one server and linked to another? Just curious. OK anyway...


Why the splash page? I don't think that you need it. I have never been a real big fan of splash pages.

The inner pages are a little wide for a 800x600 resolution. You may want to make it a little more liquid.

There is some type of JavaScript Error. I tried to see what it was but it said "Permission Denied".

On the "Girlz" page the thumbnails of the pretty girls are all distorted. Might want to fix that. It just makes them not look so pretty anymore. I think that you may have been doing that to keep all the thumbs the same size but I would opt for a better solution.

It would be nice if the "Demos" page had a little more than just links. Same goes for the "Downloads" page.

If you spray art, why not make your pages reflect that? It looks more like a gamers site than a Spray artist (not sure of the right title ).

Those pop ups are a real pain in the ass.

I didn't have a chance to look at the code so I can't comment on that.

KaLi: I must say that as the size of your page started to dawn on me I was tempted to make a joke but as it shot past 500 kb it stopped being funny as it wandered past 1Mb I was reaching for the plug but as it was for a review I stuck with it and after over 6 minutes on a dialup connection (although using Opera) I'd managed to get the nearly 1.9Mb page and there is virtually nothing there. Something is very wrong and either Opera is going mad or that image is huge or it is your sound1.wav that is messing things up (my money is probably on the wav). I won't go on with the review (scrollbar colours, IE6 privacy report, the need for a splash page at all, main page width, why the title graphic repeats, etc.) as you really need to drop that page size by an order of magnitude (or two even - splash pages need to be fast loading unless there is another purpose).

Its not that we are saying anything nasty about the site but you have done something that will really impact on people trying to visit your page and it makes reviewing your site nearly impossible (I notice CPrompt had the same trouble). I'll try again later and see if I can identify the problem but until then I'd suggest you see what you can do (getting rid of the splash page would be the quickest thing).

So... let me see if I get this straight. You ask for comments on your site. Two of the best here take the time to do just that... and you reply; "lol, i was wondering if u guys would notice." that it would take forever and a day to load!

Not a good way to introduce yourself KaLi.

KaLi: No big deal but a bit of a warning might have been nice that way we could have waited until we were on faster connections!! Just as general policy unless you are doing something very very special with big warning signs on it then it is rarely wise to have a page which is anywhere near that size. I think we've had discussions on the use of music on web pages and the consensus seems to be that it would have to be streaming and have controls so you could turn it off.

Let us know when you've got rid of the splash page or at least cut out the fat and we'll give it another go.

As soon as I saw your site I has a sinking feeling that you'd done something very very bad. I hoped I was wrong but I wasn't.

For those of you who missed it, here's the background image from his website:

It's a nice idea mate but that's just not how web pages are done. Well, sometimes they are but not sites like yours.... eh, it's complicated. Well, it's not but it is. That make sence? No? doesn't matter....

KaLi I hate to put it this way but... The way you've approached the design of this web site is completly and utterly wrong. Harsh I know, but I'm being honest ok. You've got great graphical skills however you really need to stop using that Yahoo/Geocities Web Authoring application as all your really doing is shooting your design skills in the foot! And the knee caps. And the groin. Seriously, it't the worst possible tool to design webpages period. Hell, even Dreamweaver's better than that thing. Well.. I suppose that all depends on who's using the tools... Narrr.. their all crap.

Oh, and don't let Emperor see the source code for that site... he'll have a heart attack. Heh. Funny mental images...

Huh?, oh.. Enough of that, where was I? Right! I think you need to start with plain old simple HTML coded by hand. This way you'll get an understanding of how websites are structured and built.

Oh ya. As the others said. Splash pages and audio on websites are big boo boo's. Boo boo's make me cry. You don't want to make me cry cause if you do I'll never shut up. Nobody wants that.

I don't have time to go into any great depth about where, how, or what you should be addressing first as I'm really busy right now. Hopefull someone else will wander by and help you out in that area.

Kali: I'm avoiding giving a further review (if only for the sake of my heart!!) but I have been annoying myself by nosing around the way things are done and I came across your Girlz page and I really had to comment. Your thumbnails are actually images drawn in from someone else's site and then thumbnailed by reducing the height and width to an arbitary size. As well as being a very bad idea from the point of view of image quality and the size of the page this is pretty blatant bandwidth/content theft. You really will have to sort this out as it is frowned upon here and could get some angry people on your back once the site owners notice their bandwidth allocation being hosed away by another site. Consider yourself warned!!
