Okay, I'm looking for any final suggestions on spiffing up my site. I made it nice and fast with CSS, but now it seems like it needs a bit of graphics. I was also hoping for a little testing with the shopping cart. It works fine for me, but ya never know....

the site is, once again: www.drisson.com

Anyways, I'm just looking for suggestions on what I might do to finalize the page, finishing touches, all that....

late..

Lots of hard work put in here!
The only things I can comment on, because your site is functional (including the cart-I checked), is colors and links.
Funny because this was an area I had to learn about here.

Concerning the colors, the menu titles, in the main content area, have a background color that is nearly indistinguishable from the page color. Super light yellow against white . You might think about darkening one or the other.

Links. half of the page has links that change case, the other half doesn't. Perhaps they could all be the same?
Hope to help and not hinder...

grats42: It is looking a lot more professional. Some points:

1. Allewyn is right about the colours and links. I like the idea of having the very slight colour contrast between the white and offwhite but it is just a little too subtle - I'd darken he off-white just a tad. I don't really like links that change width (e.g. having a bold effect on the hover) and I'd just stick with the underlining and colour change.

2. That top left corner is just crying out for something - if you don't have a company logo then now might be the time to construct a simple one - a big D in a
cog pos. as outlines (or something). Then link it so it takes you back to the main page.

3. That 'main>' can probably go - or get rid of the > I spent a while wondering what it was for before it clicked.

4. You still have an awful lot of empty table rows and cells and you will benefit from cleaning all that up.

5. Your code is looking much cleaner thanks to CSS but in the lower parts of your page a few of the dreaded FONT tags have sneaked back in:

quote:
<td colspan="3" valign="top" class="infobox"> <font face="Trebuchet MS" size="-1">
<center>
<b> Find us at the Kart Expo! </b>
</center>
</font>
<center>
<font face="Rockwell"><a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.kartmarketinggroup.com/kartexpo.html" onMouseOver="MM_displayStatusMsg('Click here for more info!');return document.MM_returnValue"><img src="expo_2000.jpe" width="110" height="64" border="0" align="absbottom" alt="Kart Expo 2002!"></a></font>
</center>

and you could get rid of those CENTER tags too.

6. I think the 'Smoke the Competition' graphic could probably do with redoing but that can probably wait.

[edit: and I forgot to mention that he review your cart button needs to be the same as the other form buttons - either style then all, or preferably, keep them as obvious form buttons]

Other than that it is looking really good - its come on in leasp and bounds. Well done.

Okay, so I tried to clean up some of the stuff you all mentioned. The main thing is, I tried to pull the design together with the left and the main content. How did I faire? I STILL need to redo that graphic, I know, but I don't think I have the original around anywhere here...and the table tags thing just must be a result of Dreamweaver's layout, and I just can't fill it all up until I'm done moving it around.
