The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.

Indeed that's a classic, but I miss a bit of blur on the elevation map. At the moment there's tiny dithering effect due to the kernel. If you simply use a 2x2 blurred copy of the elevation map to create the normals, the result will look smoother.

Nifty. Can you make the droplets bigger (higher initial offset value and lower damping)? I think it would make it much more interesting since the droplets would coincide more often.

Good work! Is the image displacement proportional to the height displacement, or is it raytraced?

raytraced ?! Iron Wallaby, you're either on crack or you've never seen the algo. The final rendering is just some realtime 2D bump, that is for each pixel of the heightfield the discrete normal is computed and used as a displacement offset to pick a pixel of the source image.

Who said I was crazy? Nothing wrong with eye candy. And by using the normals, you can get some nice surface lighting, too...

This is not the classic water effect as I learned it and implemented it on my good old Falcon 030
Computing a sin, arcsin, and a tan per pixel was simply out of question at the time.

Hehe, what's a classic without iterative refinement by rabid fans?

Now that's a water effect.

Hehehe, w00t. Rock on, InI.

One note (that I'm sure you're aware of) -- you can select the red, blue, and brown skins, but the water effect only pops up randomly since you can't select it. Add it in!
