Hi I'm new to CSS...
So I suffered a lot doing my first site with it.
Oh, well...
Almost everything is perfect for me, but I still have one unsolved problem which is on my way.
On the 800x600 screen the top of the site is out of boundaries.
Is there a way to stop this?
I'm trying to keep everything in the middle of the screen.

Any help is appreciated.

I could suggest some things, but if they don't work, you'll just be posting again and we'll be wasting each other's time. Furthermore even if the suggestions work, they might not be the best way to fix your problem.

It'd be best if you link to your site or provide full source code (that accurately duplicates the problem). Then someone will give you teh mad fix0r instructions.

the basic answer: make your content less than 800px wide.....

Yes, that seems obvious. It is obvious even.

But as reisio said, without seeing your page there's not anything more than that to give...

You could try using overflow: hidden; on the containing division/area

That would simply cut off anything that extended beyond the container...kinda defeats the purpose....

What purpose?

It depends on what's pushing the the width out really doesn't it... this we don't know.

^ good reason to wait for the page to be shown

overflow:hidden is rarely a good general purpose solution...

Well, I wouldn't hold my breath... I've seen a lot of people check themselves in here at the Asylum, post a question, then disappear, never to be heard from again.

And no, there is no truth to the rumor that these people are abducted for use in "experimental therapy."

*whistles innocently*

I must admit, it makes me suspicious, seems to be going on a lot lately...
