What ever happened to Mr. MAX?

I haven't seen him in a while on here, he used to have the most posts out of anyone. I read his Blog and it said something about going to school and that was the last I heard of him.

Max is still here, the comments are far fewer but you will still find him posting. I am sure that real life issue took take up more time than they used to.

this is the last post that showed up in the search.

Then again, for some reason, I searched by username and it would only go so far as the DHTML/JavaScript forum. Not sure what the problem is there.

I noticed he wasn't posting a while back. He hasn't updated his website in a while either.

He probably got snapped up by some big IT company that has been taking up all his time. He never really was one to boast about what he's doing. I'm sure he's fine.

Yes, apparently I was quite wrong about that whole posting thing. I could have sworn I saw his name in an active post, but it might have been an old post that was simple bumped.

I though max was at university. I am not sure, I think I remember reading something along those lines, but don't take my word on it, I don't want my foot back in my mouth.

I thought Doc was in the process of moving back to the States. I bet that isn't an easy chore. Especially right now.

But Dracusis is right. He never really said much about what he was doing. Except for a couple of times he said something about school.

There are quite a few people that I kind of miss that used to come around here a lot (at least sometimes).

I was also under the impression that Max was at a university at the moment.
As for Doc, for some reason I thought he was thinking of moving back to the states... and was pretty sure of it... but I didn't realize that it was a done deal.. and it was happening right now.... (although I've been told that many times now).

Moving back? I never knew Doc ever lived here in the first place. And if that's the case then how is this server still up? Wouldn't he move it too?

He uses an hosting provider. I don't think he personally hosts any of his big sites. (I'm sure he's got at least one sandbox somewhere though)

 No time to talk...

 Sunday, December 02, 2001 - 12:49:39 CET  mr.maX

Yep, that's true. I'm very busy with school these days. Three more weeks of schooling are remaining and when you exclude weekend days, that's 15 active school days. So many things to finish, a lot of exams, you know the drill, right? That's the reason why I won't be updating MAX's World. The next three weeks, I'm going to be on the internet less than usual, just from time to time and that's all...
Oh, I would also like to point out that my main hard drive (old SCSI Micropolis with 9 GB capacity and 7200rpm speed) let me down and stopped working. I really didn't plan that to happen since it was only 4 years old (hard drives should last much longer), but it happened. And I practically lost three days fixing everything and making my computer work again. Some of you may ask why I spent so much time. Well, the reason is simple, I had a dual boot Windows 2000 / Windows XP configuration (Windows 2000 was on main hard drive - Micropolis - and Windows XP was on second hard drive - Maxtor - which still works), and the main trouble was finding another hard drive to replace Micropolis, because Windows XP must remain on D: partition (otherwise all applications will be broken and I would have to re-install everything). After I found a replacement hard drive (old Seagate Medalist with 4,5Gb capacity), the only thing left was to make it bootable with NT boot loader. This last thing appeared to be trickier than I thought, but luckily I found utility called BootPart on the internet and used it to write NT boot loader to the disk... Everything is working fine right now!
See you all on December 21 (the last day of this part of school year)!

I'm running out of spare time... :-)

 Thursday, November 22, 2001 - 06:47:53 CET  mr.maX

As subject says, I'm running out of spare time. Only school, school & school, grrr... There's virtually no "playtime"...
Anyway, to let you all know - I passed my driver license tests (both tests were passed successfully at the first try). So, I finally have my driver license and I can drive car, heh... Cool, eh?
That's all, now back to school. And speaking of which, today I'll probably have two written exams. Exams in Biology (I'll have this exam for sure) and English (50% chance that I'll have it today). Wish me luck!

So many things to do and so little time...

 Monday, November 05, 2001 - 23:04:44 CET  mr.maX

I'm very sorry, because I didn't write anything for quite some time. As always, I was very busy with many different things. The most important was written test in mathematics, which I finished successfully - I kick ass real good! But, that's not all. I've also finished my driving lesions and now I'm ready to take the driving test and get the driving license. Speaking of test, the first part of test is tomorrow - theoretical part, which I'll hopefully pass! Enough talking, I'm now going to repeat some important driving related things before I go to bed (this is similar to bed time stories, heh).
I don't have any more time to talk. See you all soon, and in the meantime, you can "waste" your spare time by Spanking the Monkey, heh he he!
Gaudeamus igitur, juvenes dum sumus!

These are the last three entries in max' journal.... hopes it cleares some things up.

Mr.Max is alive and doing fine. I sent him an email a few days ago asking if everything is OK.
Got a reply from him, telling me that he is very busy with his university, which is his prime focus at the moment, and some other things.

Good to know.
