Bugimus I am using some of the functions off of your page at http://www.bugimus.com/gurus/colorbar.html to run teh onmousemove stuff.

I managed to manipulate it to a point where it appears to be doing exactly what I want it to do. but to be honest I was pretty comfortable with what everythign was doing until now. I have not got a clue how this one works. I would love to simplify it to a point I can understand it but am happy that it works.

I can only test at 1024x768 . I need to know if it works at 1280 and 1600 resolutions and if curious but don't expect it work at 1900 or 2048. I Hope works in the first to but want to know if the edge of the layer becomes visible while moving back and forth.

I am thrilled that you were able to use some of my stuff to create that! It's really looking nice. Of course, when you're done you'll have to run it through the site reviews gauntlet to really get some proper feedback

Anyway, you do have a problem at 1280 and higher. Here's screen shot at 1600:

I looks like you'll need to widen your mountainscape for better coverage.

Ya i just saw it at 1280 on friends computer and decided to see what kind of feedback i was getting here. I really didn't expect it to work at 1600. now I am trying to to set the x,y disatnce from the top corner of the layer to be at least half the length of the layer away from the mouse pointer. So far with your code i have just gotten lucky I have no real idea what any of this si doing or what to change to makes some of this better. If you have any ideas on how I can simplify your code to what i am doing I'm open to suggestions. I can and will increase the layer length but I would like to understand better what this is doing.

LaLa I'm not at all familiar with what you are talking about but if you can find the syntax and explain it a little I am definatley interested.

For now I have updated the mtn Div to a 4096px width. Please let me know if this covers it ok for 1280 and 1600 resolutions. I don' t think it will affect too much as the image just tiles after 1408.

Lala is talking about the image tool bar that IE 6.0 shows when you hover on an image. The toolbar that lets you resize, print, etc. an image.

If you donot want the image toolbar to show in IE 6.0 the following metatag needs to be added

<meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no">

Thanks i'll do that.

I have noticed in my crappy work computer among others a much slower animation and a seperation when sliding mtns where the peaks seem to seperate and sterp just ahead or just behind the rest like abad refresh. Has anyone else seen this and what were the circumstances.
