Topic awaiting preservation: Looking for info on... (Page 1 of 1)

...the scrolling backgroud effects seen here and here. I know all about the FAQ and searching through the forums but I have no idea what to call this. I remeber reading something once about the code for it being available for learning purposes but that was a long time ago. I would have persued it then but I got sucked into the blackhole of Photoshop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The interesting part is hard to find though... it's in one of the last functions in one of the Z___.js files, I forget which though...

The basic idea is to have an absolutely positioned image that repeats after X pixels, which you move back and forth, and when it's moved a full X pixels in either direction, you pop it back X pixels to where it started, and it looks like nothing happens since the image repeats. On these pages, they just have 4 such layers moving at different speeds.
