I know all about the FAQ and searching through the forums but I have no idea what to call this. I remeber reading something once about the code for it being available for learning purposes but that was a long time ago. I would have persued it then but I got sucked into the blackhole of Photoshop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The basic idea is to have an absolutely positioned image that repeats after X pixels, which you move back and forth, and when it's moved a full X pixels in either direction, you pop it back X pixels to where it started, and it looks like nothing happens since the image repeats. On these pages, they just have 4 such layers moving at different speeds.
