Preserved Topic: Win2K-Messenger Service-Webpopup (Page 1 of 1)

Past week or so I've gotten some damn spam popups. Regular dialogs. You know, common dialog or something.

I went into Admin Tool > Services > Messenger and turned it off.
Not sure if that fixed it. Have to wait to see if I get anymore.

Any ideas what is causing these Webpopups if that's not it?

I've have been thinking about progs that I've recently installed and I can't seem to find anything that would do this. I also took a quick romp through the registry in the usual haunts, but I haven't found anything suspicious. Been trying Google, but nothing just yet.

Dude... same thing happened to me!! It scared the hell out of me!!!

I didn't have that problem before. One night I am working on my computer and all of the sudden I get this stupid popup message (not like abrowser window - it was like click OK window)

I used ad ware , deleted bunch of stuff still same thing...
