Preserved Topic: A how to on this chrome effect. (Page 1 of 1)

I've tried time after time to get a chrome effect like this kid has on his signature for another forum community.

But I've yet to get it. I figured people here know how to do it with an ease. Give it a shot and let me know if you know because I wanna know.

Chrome isnt as hard as it looks.......the perimeters of good chrome is endless. Look at how some is done and try to mimic......its all about reflections and making the curves of your image reflect true..........

Use a 3d program like bryce...make a quick chrome object import it into PS and take it apart.........its not as hard as it looks...(did i say that already)....................good luck.

Of course im always looking to do it by hand........or by digital airbrush.......thats just how ive done it for years...... I aint that good at making filters mimic good chrome....ive seen good polished reflections but true reflective chrome..........ill be looking at what the gurus can do......im sure someone has figured it out....ill be watchin with antis..........................................Cyber

Have you tried using Microsoft Image composer 1.5?
