I know. It's been done before. But I was browsing around, just minding my own business, when I got the bug.



My first eyeball. Don't mind the garnish too much -- that was just something I slapped on because the tutorial said so. But I really do need to do something about that. It does nasty things to the proportions. Yech. And the pupil seems odd for some reasion. My main focus on this was the iris and the lighting, which I think turned out decently.

Heh, pretty good. Yeah, huh, huge eyeball thread a while back...that was, um, educational.

I'm thinking it'd look great if you duotoned it into a sorta old photograph looking thing and made it less plasticy. Some reason I think the lack of full color would make it kinda creepily realistic. Could be wrong...good one though.

Eyeballs? These have been up tons (I remember mentioning that they get as much play as bad glass spheres, curves metal, and plastic around here).

First eyeballs, now that's a good idea.

I agree the iris is pretty good warjournal - the one thing I think it does need though is a darker outer edge.

I didn't look at any reference pics when I did it. Now that I've looked at a few pics, I can definitely see where mine needs work. And, yes, that front edge does need to be darkened up a bit.

Wakkos, I used Polar Coords. Then everything else was just Levels, Curves, and some Alpha work. Fairly simple.

This is the tut that I followed, but I did some tweaking of my own.

No i cheated i used some filter in Xenofx. I was following a tutorial that i've long since lost that wanted you to draw all these little lines by hand. Well i suck at a mouse and even worse at a pen table (yes its possible!) So i cheated and used Xenofx, which i've long since deleted so i can't even tell you which filter it was.

What i made them for.
I think i captured my expression when i don't have DP pretty well.
